Strat Description:
- Chicago wins 69, repeats as NBA champs
- MVP Karl Malone puts Utah in finals
- Shaq to LA … Top rookie Allen Iverson: 23.5 ppg, 7.5 apg
Utah won a franchise-best 64 games with MVP Karl Malone (27.4 ppg, 9.9 rpg). But Chicago won more, had a better scorer (Michael Jordan, 29.6) and a better rebounder (Dennis Rodman, 16.1). Shaquille O’Neal signed with LA, but the championships would have to wait: O’Neal missed 31 games, though he still led the team in scoring and rebounding, while the Lakers auditioned an 18-year-old rookie, Kobe Bryant.
